The classic HD9 has been updated and given extra features for effortless professional sewing for a refined straight stitch for everyday use. Sturdy flat bed, die cast aluminum frame construction.  Includes eight ball bearings in the main shaft for long lasting durability.  Built for speed, precision, and power, this machine combines innovation with performance that makers trust.

New Features:-

• Floating Function - adjust the height of the pressure foot to reduce slippage and wrinkles (0-3 mm). 
• LED Lights - same lights in two place but now dimmable
• Inside arm height - raised by 10 mm to 150mm (5.9")
• Feed Dog Drop - free motion is now possible without a darning plate

A solid metal workhorse straight stitch only machines sews up to 1650 stitches per minute.  Popular with bag makers and quilters who have sewing machine quilt frames.

Heavy Weight Thread Guide - A seperate thread path when using thicker threads that helps to create the right tension. 

Semi-long arm - has a large inside space of 9" (230 mm) to the right of the needle. Height now increased by 10 mm. Designed for the professional dressmaker, outworkers, curtain maker, quilters, or where you want a good strong machine like an industrial, but without the size of an industrial.

Industrial style rotary hook - Large capacity bobbin, holds upto 40% more thread than standard Janome bobbin.  Independent bobbin winder (wind bobbin from a second spool, without unthreading the machine).

Industrial style tension and the extended thread stand and arm means that you can use the large cones of thread.

Easy to thread - follow the number that guide you down to the needle and the built in needle threader.

Auto thread cutter - trims the bobbin thread underneath after sewing - now with noise reduction

Needle up/down - control when the needle stays in the fabric, ideal for pivoting. Can be used to sew one stitch at a time.

Adjustable foot pressure - control how much pressure is applied when the presser foot is lowered onto the fabric. 

Knee lifter - raise or lower the presser foot without removing your hands from the fabric.
